  • 1 1/2 cup? earth balance vegan butter, ??ftened baking ?tick? preferred
  • 4-5 cup? p?wdered ?ugar
  • 2 tea?p??n? pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4-1/2 cup un?weetened alm?nd milk


In?tructi?n?

F?r the Ch?c?late Cake :

  1. Preheat ?ven t? 350 degree? F and grea?e tw? 9-inch cake pan?. I al?? line them with parchment r?und? and lightly fl?ur f?r ea?y rem?val ?f the cake? later.
  2. Mea?ure 1 cup un?weetened alm?nd milk and add the table?p??n ?f vinegar t? it. Stir ?lightly and ?et a?ide t? curdle.
  3. In a large b?wl, add the fl?ur, ?ugar, c?c?a p?wder, baking p?wder, baking ??da and ?alt. Whi?k well t? c?mbine.
  4. N?w add the ?il, apple?auce, vanilla and alm?nd milk/vinegar mixture. Mix ?n medium ?peed with a hand mixer (?r ?tand mixer with the paddle attachment) until well c?mbined. 
  5. L?wer the ?peed and carefully p?ur in the b?iling water, c?ntinuing t? mix int? the cake batter until c?mbined. The batter will ?eem very runny at thi? p?int; that i? h?w it ?h?uld be, tru?t me!
  6. Divide the batter evenly between y?ur cake pan?. Bake f?r 30-35 minute?, ?r until a t??thpick in?erted in the center c?me? ?ut clean. After 10 minute? ?f c??ling in the pan, carefully rem?ve the cake? fr?m the pan? and let c??l c?mpletely bef?re fr??ting.
